Take an IMprov Comedy Basics Class.

In this 8- week class you will learn the foundations of Improv Comedy.
Beginning with "Yes...And", Listening and always making your scene partner look good.
You will learn space work and how it supports a scene.
How to use different levels of emotions to engage your audience and make a scene more interesting, along with a number of other improv basics.
You will be presented with the connection of improv basics and your daily life and how these skills can improve ALL your relationships, from personal to professional.
This class is one of active participation and fun!!!. So be sure to have comfortable shoes and a snack!
Each class includes a Student Showcase Performance on the main stage at CPAC! It's your opportunity to show off your new skills to your friends and family.

Our Improv Basics Class provides the student with the introduction to foundations of improv comedy, how to apply them on stage and in our daily lives.
This 8- week class is offered 3 times a year and include a student showcase at the end.
The class is full of fun and laughter.
Many students take it twice to keep the laughter and learning going!

In December of 2022 Aliceson "Flow" Smith was approaching retirement from 23 years as an Algebra Teacher.
Knowing she would miss the fun and creativity of teaching, she reached out to her improv teacher from Unscrewed Theater, Mike, and asked "Would you help me start an improv class and troupe in Green Valley?"
Mike being the seasoned improviser he is, said "Yes...and" followed up with his support by teaching our first improv basics class.
Chris Ashcraft, Executive Director of CPAC, provided our fist classroom and performance space for our student showcase.
Soon the Executive Director of Unscrewed Theater, Chris Seidman also offered up his years of experience, teaching our 2nd improv basics class.
From that first class, we had our first 6 troupe members and we were off and running
!Aliceson "Flow" Smith took over the teaching, trading in her Algebra hat for improv comedy.
The community of Green Valley embraced us with open arms and big smiles.
Unscrewed Theater, The Green Valley News, KGVY Radio, NABUR and Home, Health & Life magazines all stepped in with fundraising, promotions articles and informational interviews.
